The Canadian cryptocurrency exchange platform BitBuy relisted XRP token making it the second platform to do so after Binance. Marson Versluis, an XRP community member got hold of the decision while reading a tweet. He went ahead and commented that Bitbuy has finally decided to incorporate XRP in the cryptocurrencies list.

The XRP token was made available on Bitbuy in 2019. In 2022, Bitbuy delisted it after SEC filed a lawsuit against Ripple. Their defense was that this action was in line with Canadian laws and regulations. Following the relisting decision, it is speculated that there is inside knowledge of the verdict that is supposed to be passed in the case. John Deaton, the attorney on the case, and David Schwartz, Ripple CTO, have informed the public that there are likely to be delays and a decision could be made in September.
It is worth noting that Newton, another Canadian exchange platform, relisted the XRP token in November 2022. Coinbase is now the main focus after several investors requested it to relist the token. The Coinbase leaders have not given positive feedback to the demands despite agreeing with Attorney John Deaton. Paul Grewal, the Coinbase Chief Legal Officer, stated that the platform would still carry out investigations before relisting XRP.
