Sun celebrated the court’s decision on social media, noting that the lawsuit was filed after the media group published a defamatory article on March 11, 2022. This article echoed unfounded allegations from a piece by The Verge, which had also implied Sun was under investigation by the FBI and IRS. Unlike The Verge, which included a disclaimer, Chongqing Business Media Group failed to do so, leading to Sun’s legal action.
