The US SEC has brought to the attention of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York that Pascale Guerrier, a lawyer, will no longer be taking part in the case against Ripple Labs through a notice it has filed.
Pascale Guerrier Leaves The Ripple Case
The SEC has made it clear in the notice that other lawyers will be representing it in the trial that will take place the following year as much as Pascale Guerrier is no longer a prosecutor in the case. Making changes to the team of counsellors in these cases is not unheard of as each party is striving to win by all means.
The capability of the lawyers in this case cannot be overlooked as these are the people who will fight for each of them. Ripple has also been known to change lawyers in its cases and therefore what the SEC has done should be of no surprise to anyone.
Ripple has a strong budget for its defense and therefore has the capacity to add more lawyers to their team. In case they decide to make changes, they will file a notice as well.
