Starbucks NFTs allow US beta testers to engage in various activities and discover fascinating facts about coffee.
Starbucks, an international chain of coffee shops, has introduced its blockchain-based loyalty program, named Starbucks Odyssey, to its initial US beta testers.
The initiative incorporates NFTs with a coffee theme related to real-life experiences and expands the company’s current Starbucks Rewards scheme.
By establishing the Starbucks Odyssey program earlier this year, the organization clarified that it intended to join the NFT and Web3 bandswagons.
Customers have the opportunity to participate in “Journeys,” or activities, as part of the program, which is currently live. Members can accumulate NFTs this way. Starbucks Odyssey is based on Polygon and is presently accessible to beta testers in the United States.
The “Journeys” educate consumers about coffee and the company’s history while promoting the Starbucks brand. They include a wide range of activities like solving puzzles, viewing videos, and taking quizzes.
According to the international coffee shop chain, “Starbucks Odyssey members can earn and purchase digital collectable Stamps (NFTs), accruing Odyssey Points that open access to special deals, experiential incentives, and one-of-a-kind Starbucks artwork that isn’t obtainable anywhere else.”
Starbucks has a background in the cryptocurrency world. The business partnered with Bakkt to make it possible for its clients to pay with BTC. Gavin Michael, the CEO of Bakkt, outlined the app’s benefits.
“The customer usually has a variety of digital assets, such as bitcoin, gift cards, and loyalty points, but lacks the tools necessary to track and use their value effectively. As the first step in our mission to increase everyone’s access to digital assets, we are overjoyed to release the Bakkt App to the public.
