Binance Is Ending Its NFT Staking Program And Its Support For The Polygon (MATIC) Network

Binance is ending support for the Sandbox NFT Staking Program and the Polygon network on the Binance NFT Marketplace.

Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, declared on Friday that the Sandbox NFT Staking Program would be discontinued at the end of the month. LAND NFTs hosted on the Polygon network will no longer be stakeable on Binance NFT Marketplace, and the Sandbox NFT Staking Program will be discontinued.

Binance Removes NFTs From Polygon Network

On September 8, the cryptocurrency exchange Binance officially announced its decision to end the Sandbox NFT Staking Program. The exchange stated the decision was made after careful analysis and evaluation to strengthen Binance NFT Marketplace products.

Users will be unable to stake LAND NFTs hosted on the Polygon Network to earn SAND rewards after September 26. By the end of the month, Binance will automatically unstake all LAND NFTs and credit user accounts.

Binance will also remove NFTs from Polygon on September 26. Polygon users must withdraw NFTs from the Binance NFT Marketplace by December 31. Buying, depositing, offering, or listing NFTs from the Polygon Network on the Binance NFT Marketplace will be fully discontinued.

Binance’s delisting and removal of Cardano and Polygon spot, margin, and perpetual trading pairings escalated following the SEC and CFTC cases.

By August 17, Binance removed Cardano (ADA) and Polygon (MATIC) everlasting contacts in BUSD pairs. On September 1, the exchange withdrew Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC), and 37 additional liquidity pools.
